The Reaper is already a metaphor, so I was going to use him. No one would see him except the revenant himself. But I hear a voice that echoes and is loud as thunder, there is a cloud of pure darkness that branches out like black veins, and finally a dark man in the shadows, and death is pissed off. He is infuriated because he can't rest until he takes all the souls of the dead. And he could sense that the revenant should be dead, but this whole time he couldn't find the undead man. Maybe there is something about the tomb that warded death off, but the revenant has left the tomb and death just found him. It COULD be like a "final destination" thing, but the revenant should already be dead, so someone just needs to collect his soul.

That's kind of cool. I'm thinking that perhaps his soul is already gone but his body goes on, and it could be like a Descendants of Darkness thing where he rights all the wrongs... People that haven't died when they're supposed to or other strange phenonmenon associated with that, like someone dying but not going to the grave. So he would want to stop the body still roaming around with no soul. And perhaps he gets the historian to do that, where he appears to both of them a lot trying to do his job. That sounds like it could be very interesting.

Do you think you could do another post or something? I'm not entirely sure how to reply as it is. Death could show up and see the bodies and start chasing the revenant, but I want the revenant to be further ahead... I want death to be way behind him at the start.

Yeah, you already posted. Did you want to edit it because at the end you said that you didn't like it. It's cool but it could use some expanding, I suppose, but otherwise I want to see if someone else wants to join in before I post again.

I don't like anything I do, so it'd just be a waste of time to try to edit it.
