Man, I hope she isn't forced into marriage. That would suck. IMO, I think she needs to stay away from her family and India (for a few other reasons, too). But it's not like she has a choice at her age. Sad

It's just a cultural thing. It may turn out very well for her. It could give her financial support for a while, and once they move to America and if they don't like each other they can always get a divorce. As long as she gets some money and some sex it should be fine.

:-/ If Sree's supposable going to become a doctor, then she probably wouldn't really need financial support after a while. And I don't think it's really an option for her NOT to now...that's really the thing that irritates me the most. How are you going to make someone who had really no inclination to be a doctor a doctor? That's a really important job for someone not to want to do it...

And as long as Sree's parents are going to be the one picking the guy, there will be nothing good about it XD He'll probably be really old and oogly but they'll pick him because he's rich :/ And last I checked, divorce is really out of the question in their culture...

What if they never moved to America? But you're right in that she'd probably be marrying someone with more financial stability than her. Which is always a good thing.

So yeah, the only exiting thing happening to me is I'm going to a Mindless Self Indulgence concert on the 29th! It's going to be SWEET. & it was affordable, like $20. Very Happy

We need to talk on here more, especially since I can't get on AIM or else I would die. From exhaustion. Because I'm working 6 hour shifts 4 days in a row right after a 6 hour school day. Yay! *keels over*

jay works up to 12 hour shifts 6 days a week as a server and usually doesn't get breaks and often gives up his day off so he can make a little bit more money for our move... you have nothing to complain about Razz

Yea, I'm not in love with the hours right now either...but I think that the most awful one to this day was that one a few weeks ago where Richard scheduled me from 8 am to 6 pm for some absolutely bizarre reason and had me working the next day too at some time...I overslept though ^^;

I hope my check is amazing though, on top of that 10 hour craziness, I'd already worked 27 hours that week. And I'm still not sure what's going on this week for me to work 32...some guy is visiting @_@

Taylor comes back next week so I should be okay then. And if I don't have enough hours, I can go to 310. I'm a winner right now. Lol.

So in your spare time, what are you guys up to? Anything interesting? Which reminds me, I joined Twitter, which I think is pretty cool. Andrea, you joined, but haven't updated anything. Rolling Eyes

Orphy should join too! For some reason I'm interested in the little things people do from day to day. Maybe it's the psychologist in me.

Ok! Maybe tonight. I have to decide whether I'll work Tuesday or Thursday (or be lazy and poor and do neither) at the other store. If I decide to work Thursday I'll get on tonight most likely.

Well you should get on tonight, because tomorrow I'm actually flying to hawaii. I'm expected to arrive there at 8 (hawaii time) which will be 2am for you. It's going to be complicated remembering the time zone difference, because it's a big one... 6 hours! Anyway, I order you to get on tonight!
